Moonstone Jewelry by Variance Objects

Moonstone Jewelry

Rainbow moonstone reveals blue, white and spectral flashes as it turns. We orient each piece to bring that changing light to the surface.

About Moonstone

Rainbow moonstone, also known as white labradorite, is defined by light moving through its layered structure. A small change in orientation can alter the entire effect, so the first decisions happen while we are still studying the rough.

Our cuts preserve that glow along with the inclusions and uneven edges that identify the individual stone. Set in hand-fabricated metal, each piece changes with the body and the surrounding light. Learn more in our Rainbow Moonstone article.

Sourced with Intention

Ethical Gemstones

We use Kimberly Process certified diamonds and traceable colored gems from trusted, family-run sources.

Recycled Precious Metals

Most of our precious metals are recycled, but not all. Our unique handmade process lends itself to less waste and less toxicity.

Respect for the Rough

All our colored gemstones are cut from rough stones. We highlight the rough beauty of each stone with a focus on color variation, rough formation and natural textures.
